Consortium Research Fellow (Graduate Student), U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI), Personnel Assessment Research Unit, Ft. Belvoir, VA.

This Consortium Research Fellow will contribute to the Personnel Assessment Research Unit's work on developing, validating, and implementing selection and assignment measures and assessments. The selection and assignment measures and assessments may include cognitive, non-cognitive, and attitudinal predictor and criterion assessments in the areas of personality/temperament, interests, cyber aptitude, and gender integration. The Fellow may be asked to do the following:

  1. Conduct literature reviews
  2. Identify and prepare measures for data collection
  3. Collect data
  4. Conduct data entry
  5. Conduct data management and analyses (merging data files, descriptives, correlations, multiple regression)
  6. Assist with preparing briefing materials
  7. Contribute to technical reports and/or conference papers based on the data analysis

The Fellow will need to have skills or experience with the following:

  1. Knowledge of selection, performance assessment, assignment/classification, cognitive assessment, and non-cognitive assessment literature
  2. Experience and skill performing literature reviews
  3. Basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative analysis
  4. Working knowledge of SPSS
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  6. Good oral/written communication skills
  7. Good teamwork skills
  8. Attention to detail

Hourly rates are between $22.00 and $32.00, depending upon academic standing.
