Consortium Research Fellow, U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI), Predictive Analytics & Modeling Unit (PAMU), Ft. Belvoir, VA.
The Fellow will assist with literature reviews , data analysis, theory development, reporting (to include writing conference submissions, technical reports, and peer-reviewed publications), and assisting with data collection activities, if research requires primary data collection. Additional tasks may include assisting with unit-level activities, such as assisting with the preparation of materials or data for internal program reviews.
Candidates with knowledge and interests in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
Scalable data analysis techniques (with a preference for scalable Bayesian techniques)
Psychometrics and measurement
Longitudinal data analysis methods (e.g., state-space methods, survival analysis/multi-state models)
All candidates will be expected to have the following skills:
Managing and working with large data sets
Familiarity with at least one major platform for statistical computing (e.g., R, Python, Julia), and the ability to code effectively
The ability to communicate (e.g., their models and findings/implications) to peers and to non-experts
Hourly rate between $22 and $30.00, depending upon academic standing.
