Synopsis:I attend Texas A&M University-Central Texas, where I am a graduate student in the Experimental Psychology program. I am currently working with Dr. Jeffrey Fite on two research projects - "Garrison Leadership Skills for NCOs" and "Soldier Skills to Support Governance Missions in Complex JIIM Environments." In "Garrison Leadership Skills for NCOs," we are conducting interviews with Army leaders to identify the challenges faced by the NCOs of operational units as they lead Soldiers in garrison, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to meet those challenges. In "Soldier Skills to Support Governance Missions in Complex JIIM Environments," we are conducting formative evaluations of training tools and job aids for senior NCOs and junior officers tasked with governance missions, and we are conducting interviews with experts form a variety of fields (e.g., military, political science, sociology, governmental and non-governmental organizations) to identify the skills that senior NCOs and junior officers must have to work effectively in complex Joint, interagency, intergovernmental, multinational (JIIM) environments.

I am also working with Dr. Scott Shadrick (Chief, ARI-Fort Hood Research Unit) to document the history and research of ARI's Fort Knox Research Unit.
