Synopsis:I am currently working with Dr. Mark Young and Dr. Robert Kilcullen on an officer selection project, which is part of a three year Officer Selection Program. The overarching goal of this project is to design a battery of tests and measures to best predict officer continuance and performance in the Army. My tasks include writing literature reviews on the criterion variables of interest, including retention, performance, and promotion in the Army; updating a 1997 database containing data for over 1,800 officers; and conducting analyses to examine the best determinants of continuance and performance. Other researchers on the project include Dr. Steve Zaccaro from George Mason University and Dr. Mary Shane Connelly from University of Oklahoma.
